History of OPI
In 1980, owner, Paul Tompkins was working as a CPA in the Big 8 Accounting Industry when  he was introduced to the oilfield industry. That same year, his wife gave birth to their first son, Paul Tompkins Jr. whom now works for the company. These co occurring events gave Paul the motivation to take his ideas and insights gained in working in the accounting industry to a new level of innovation. He continues to find new ways to innovate and his passion for the oilfield industry continued to grow.  His passion to this day is to manufacture and repair oilfield equipment that is safe, simple to operate, and built roughneck tough. ​
